BackWatcher processes all camera data locally on your Mac. No images are stored, recorded, or uploaded.
The app may connect to the internet only for
- License activation and validation
- Anonymous usage analytics (via PostHog) to improve the product
You remain in control. You can
- Block or restrict BackWatcher in your firewall
- Allow internet access only when activating your license
- Monitor all outbound connections using tools like Little Snitch or Lulu on macOS, or GlassWire / Wireshark
You can inspect every network request yourself and confirm exactly what is being sent.
Transparency matters — that's why you can verify everything independently.
